Product Description


The Belleville 340 DES ST is the first U.S. Army approved hot weather flight and combat vehicle boot. It features a boot upper made of fire-resistant NOMEX fabric that is designed to perform in extremely hot temperatures, providing maximum protection when you're in the fight. The anti-microbial lining is resistant to mold, odor, and bacterial growth. A lightweight steel toe provides protection from falling hazards. The unlined upper provides the best cooling needed when operating in hot temperatures. The 340 ST also features a VIBRAM Sierra out sole with large lugs for excellent grip on both loose or smooth terrain. This boot is approved for wear with the Army Combat Uniform, approved for U.S. Army Flight and Combat Vehicles, and is Berry Compliant.

I have flat feet so I bought the wide version of these boots to accomodate my orthotics. I pulled out the factory insoles and was pretty impressed with the quality. Most of the insoles I've pulled out of boots have been flimsy and thin. Not these. They were pretty beefy and padded. Any company who would spend the money to put a quality insole like this takes pride in their product. Anyways, I replaced them with my custom orthotics which went in easy. I've had them now for the past three weeks and they are excellent. I work on the flight line and have these on for 12+ hrs a day and they still feel great at the end of the day. I highly recommend these boots!
